The primary objective of Jazz Concert SA is to present sophisticated ‘live’ jazz performances in a concert setting, featuring both local and international artists, for the discerning jazz fan.
We also aim to support various forms of ‘jazz’ by bringing the music to a wider audience, at the same time creating platforms for lesser known and upcoming young talent, in need of wider recognition.
We achieve this through innovative programming that recognises the continuity as well as the development of the art form. This initiative has come about as a result of collaboration between Anthony Yoko and Herman van Niekerk, two of South Africa’s leading patrons of the arts and promoters of fine music with many years of combined experience.
